Dear Black Americans that are mad at SM,
People forget that the owners of Shea Moisture, Sundial llc., have been catering to the all black community (exclusively) for years with their other products in Nubian Heritage. Do you hear me? BLACKS ONLY. Black people barely spoke on them or even use the product
... and it's older than Shea Moisture. This told the company that they cannot solely cater to the Black Community because y'all really don't support like y'all claim to. Shea Moisture's marketing plan was always broad. You rarely see a Shea Moisture ad with a black person on it. It's always been a colorful background and an illustration of the product.
SM isn't trying to remain some mom and pop shop brand. They're competition isnt an Ors or whatever... it's Dove. It's Loreal. Think bigger. A huge household name with black DNA. Be proud!
This whole situation has been nasty for SM and shows me how we're just a bunch of crabs in a barrel. When you go to the Asian owned beauty supply store and see that ALL the products are catering to another race no Asian says, "Why aren't we being represented here? Let's boycott!" Because that would be STUPID! Let that Black man and his family get that money from every square footage of this earth from every race, and stop looking so sad.
This curvy OOTW Sketch also comes from a collection created on my Polyvore account. I cannot get enough of rompers for the summer season, which is why I selected this vibrant Forever 21+ piece.I see it paired with an African print bow and dangling earrings.....
This curvy OOTW Sketch comes from a collection created on my Polyvore account. I adore this yellow pineapple top that's open in the back. I see it paired with pink jeans and a stylish hat.....
