(Disclaimer: THIS IS A RANT!)
It's true. I am disappointed. I feel like the social media platform had failed me. But not for the obvious reasons. I don't mind that Facebook has purchased the system... well actually I do. Which has lead to a "sharing nightmare". I cannot see everyone's posts anymore. I only see a few revolving faces, and then Facebook (and I do mean Facebook), just pushes everyone else to the back like last weeks bread.... just like facebook.... le sighe* Aaaaand, if I want my posts to actually be seen by my own mother effin friends.... guess what? I've got to pay for it! Sure I could just tag them, sure... but should I really have to tag them every single time? Nahhhh.
But, lets really get down to the nitty gritty as to why I am hating Instagram... and it's not really because of Instagram. My hatred actually comes from the way businesses view Instagram and potential partners. Look and listen well. I have low IG numbers. I build them slowly, but once I have them, they stay. And, the numbers and views I do get are of quality. My followers usually have 10k-20k followers of their own. Meaning... I am somehow influencing your influencers... but because I do not have the mass amount of followers, businesses tend to overlook my account and other profiles like mine. I do not blame the businesses for this either. They are just trying to get their product out to as many people as possible. So, why not go for the higher numbers? Because numbers mean nothing today. What matters is repost value... #rp.
